The hotel's graceful blocks embrace the land's contours, linked by the elevated loop, harmonizing nature with a dance of spaces.

Iceland Northern Lights Rooms

The orientation and anchoring of buildings for the hotel is defined by existing topography and surrounding features of the site. The architecture creates a harmonious relationship with the natural landscape and mediates the visitor to experience the site together with available facilities of the hotel. An elevated platform in the form of "the loop" is inserted onto the site with levels corresponding to the existing topography. This circulation spine connects the various functions and facilities providing the guest with a variety of activities within different spatial environments. Each block is arranged and shaped to follow the existing site features. Together, they are attached to "the loop" to define a coherent space and to maintain a harmony with the existing landscape
